Yellow Ribbon Network
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon
The City of Lino Lakes has joined with the Minnesota National Guard to support military families in Anoka County through the creation of the Yellow Ribbon Network. The Yellow Ribbon Network helps connect schools, local units of government, law enforcement, social services, churches, civic and volunteer organizations for the special needs of a military family during a deployment.
The Minnesota National Guard has pioneered a program in hopes of changing how Soldiers and Airmen are reintegrated back to their communities. Called Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, the program is named as a reminder that the support of Soldiers cannot end when they return from deployment and the yellow ribbons are untied.
