Community planning is a systematic, ongoing, forward-looking process of analysis of opportunity and constraints, for the purpose of formulating a plan to accomplish the community's goals and objectives.
The Comprehensive Plan:
Implements the long-range vision for the community's future.
Provides guidance for elected officials when making land-use decisions.
Provides the legal foundation for rules and regulations adopted by the community, such as the zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations.
The Lino Lakes 2040 Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the City Council on November 9, 2020. Copies of the Plan are available for a fee in either electronic or hard copy format by contacting City Hall at 651-982-2422.
