Firearm Safety

The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department will be conducting a firearm safety training course again this year. The 5-session course is scheduled to take place in August and September 2025 with an additional in-person session at the range. Please contact the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department at 651-982-2312 or email Jessica Crowe to be added to our waitlist.

  • The firearm safety course is open to anyone 11 years of age or older
  • Parents/guardians of youth participants are encouraged to attend each session with their child, but parent/guardian attendance is not required
  • This course is limited to 20 participants. In order to successfully complete certification, attendance at all sessions will be mandatory
  • LLPSD firearm safety course requires a non-refundable $7.50 pre-payment to hold a spot in the class. Please pay this fee at the LLPSD or contact the administrator to make arrangements.

This course will also require an additional $7.50 payment to the Minnesota DNR after the course to receive the final certification. For more information, please see the Minnesota DNR website.
